Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Insertum: the website at insertum.io, the dashboard at app.insertum.io, and the widgets and APIs that serve them (together, the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Insertum for an organization, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

The public beta

Insertum is in public beta. Features may change, be limited or be removed, and the service may be interrupted while we build it. Everything is free during the beta. We will announce pricing well before the beta ends; paid plans will come with their own terms, which you can choose to accept.

Your account

Give accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us at support@insertum.io if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You must be at least 16 to use Insertum.

Your content and your customers’ data

You keep ownership of what you put into Insertum and of the responses your widgets collect. You give us permission to host, process and display that content only as needed to provide the service, including publishing the testimonials you approve.

When you collect responses with Insertum, you are responsible for:

• having a lawful basis to collect them, and telling the people who respond how their data is used;
• getting consent before publishing a testimonial, and honoring a request to withdraw it;
• what you publish on your own site.

We process those responses on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use Insertum to:

• publish testimonials you know are fake, altered or attributed to the wrong person;
• collect or publish content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing or hateful;
• send spam, or distribute malware;
• probe, overload or break the service’s security, or get around its usage limits;
• access the service by automated means other than its documented APIs and widgets.

Usage limits

Workspaces have limits on widgets and responses, published on our website. We may slow down or refuse requests that exceed them, or that put the service at risk.

Our service

We own Insertum, its software and its brand. These terms do not give you rights to them beyond using the service. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Insertum at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost, so keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect. If you keep using Insertum after that, the new terms apply.
